The 4 C’s
Cut:
Cut is the most important C. A diamond's cut grade determines how well a diamond cutter cuts each facet and how they interact with light. To get maximum sparkle, the cutter has to proportion each facet to be perfect for the light to go into the diamond and reflect sparkle back to the eye.
Color:
Color is a measurement of a diamond's body color. Diamond color is graded from the pavilion (the bottom portion of a diamond) because that is where color is most visible.
Clarity:
Clarity is graded under 30x magnification and is based on 5 factors: Number, Size, Relief, Nature, and Position.
Flawless- No Blemishes or Inclusions
Internally Flawless- Some Blemishes, No Inclusions
VVS 1 & 2 - Very, Very Slightly Included
